Photo: One From the BW Holga Rolls

I’ve been shooting black and white in my Holga for half year now. I scanned a bunch of rolls when I was in Minnesota. I remembered this one happened to be online because I was showing a friend of mine. The plan is to use this in the third section of a black and white project that will include edited versions of ‘Medine‘ and ‘American Road Ghost.’ Probably will take awhile to complete though considering I haven’t been shooting for it much these days, but I’m ok with a snails paces for this project. Black and white is a fun diversion.
The Great New Photography Collective That You’ll Never Hear About
“What I’m wondering is why there aren’t more of those groups. It appears quite obvious that connecting with other photographers over the net is very simple, and lots of people seem to be doing that. But then the next step, regular meetings, and joint activities don’t really seem to be happening all that much.” – Jorg Coldberg

There’s been a reasonable amount of chatter about photography collectives as of late. And if you’ve been paying attention to what’s happening online, you’ll know that several already exist. In October of 2007 I made a trip to New York City to meet up with several friends that I met through HCSP. We were gathering there to outline our plans for the next great photography collective.
We’d built the group up to one of the most respectable and interesting groups on Flickr but we were ambitious and wanted to do something. None of us were entirely satisfied with the Flickr experience and knew that working together on a new project could be interesting and potentially incredibly innovative for the distribution of photography on the web.
